Viper V1
Viper V1 is a gothic neon snake game where gameplay and art history merge into a ritual-like experience.
Inspired by classic snake mechanics, the game challenges the player to navigate a luminous serpent through a dark, minimalist arena while answering questions about Gothic art and architecture. Knowledge is not optional — it is the key to progression.
Each level begins in silence and tension.
Collecting energy orbs unlocks answer platforms, where the player must choose wisely. Correct answers allow advancement and reveal short explanations that contextualize Gothic concepts such as verticality, stained glass, flying buttresses, and symbolism. Mistakes have consequences.
There is no background music.
Sound appears only as subtle feedback — a design choice that reinforces focus, atmosphere, and immersion.
Viper V1 was created by a teacher who uses games as an educational tool in the classroom. It is designed not only to test reflexes, but also to encourage learning through play, attention, and visual language.
